Sweet Adelines Disaster Relief Fund
Oklahoma is beginning to recover from Monday's devastating tornado. Thankfully, all OK City members are accounted for. One of our newest member's home sustained damage, but she is able to remain at home. One of our assistant directors sustained major damage and sadly will not be able to stay there; she feels blessed that her family is safe and that they can salvage many of their belongings. Today, we were finally able to get information on the one member who was the most greatly affected. Their home and all their belongings are totally gone. It's amazing to see the television reports showing piles of rubble where homes used to stand, realizing that this is what happened to one of our own.
Many of our members have not had power, water, or phone service, although those services are being restored. They view this as a minor inconvenience compared to the devastation that others have suffered.
So many of our friends from around the world have contacted us, asking how they can help. We have established a fund to directly assist our Sweet Adeline sisters.
There are two ways you can give:
1. You may send a check (made to OK City Chorus) or gift cards to:
Courtney Curtis, 1817 Shady Lane, Edmond OK 73003.
2. Donate below using PayPal.
Of course, donations may also be made to benefit all those who were affected to organizations who have been active here: Salvation Army, Red Cross, Feed the Children.
We thank you so very much for your support during this devastating time.
